How To Make Cream At Home: Procedure
Step 1 – Make a double-boiler system. See this if you do not know what this apparently fancy-sounding phrase means.
You’ll laugh on knowing how simple it actually is!
Step 2 – Add the above stated quantities of Kokum butter and Flax seed oil in an iron bowl.
Switch on the stove. Keep it on low flame.
Step 3 – In less than 2 mins, everything will liquefy completely.
Switch off the stove, then.
Sprinkle 5 ml of lavender essential oil.
Step 4 – Transfer to a clean and dry bowl.
How To make it all-weather?
While the cream that you have made will last throughout winter, it will melt during summers.
To make it last during summers, simply add about 10 g of beeswax (buy here) during Step 2.
Rest everything is the same.
With that your all-weather DIY homemade organic cream/body butter is ready.

Before We Wind Up
You’ve just now learnt how to make cream at home. Chances are, you’d be bubbling with queries, right?
Q 1 – How long with this cream stay afresh?
A 1 – Unless a single drop of water falls into the cream, it’ll stay useable for at least a year easily.
It has only oils and a butter.
No aqua (water) base is added hence it doesn’t require any preservatives.
Q 2 – Who all can use it?
A 2 – Anyone willing to go au naturel and desirous of flaunting smooth, crack-free and supple skin – man, woman or child.
Q 3 – If I do not add beeswax, what am I losing out on?
A 3 – Beeswax is added to provide a mould to the cream.
If you do not add it, your cream will stay a liquid which is still useable.
However, carrying it while travelling won’t be possible then.
Q 4 – Can I use it on my facial skin?
A 4 – This cream doesn’t contain cocoa butter (which is actually comedogenic) or coconut oil (which is highly comedogenic but still people use it ignorantly on their face).
Thus, it won’t trigger pimples.
However, just to be on the safe side, I recommend its use on face only if you have dry or normal skin that too only a pea-sized amount should be applied.
How To Make Cream At Home: Doing The Math
Sum of prices of all the ingredients = 600 + 180 + 300 = 1,080/- INR
Using 50 g of Kokum butter, 20 ml of Flaxseed oil and 5 ml of Lavender essential oil, cost of one jar of your cream = 60 + 36 + 100 = 196/- INR
If you add beeswax, cost = 216/- INR which is way less than what any organic cream in the market comes for.
